On Monday, October 22, Amazon, in partnership with Clayco, Seefried Properties and subcontractors presented the Village of North Randall with a donation of $76,000. The donation will fully fund a new senior services transportation program and will provide additional resources to support vital services provided by local first responders, police and fire departments in North Randall.
“Amazon is quickly showing the depth of its commitment to our community and eagerness to be a good neighbor,” said North Randall Mayor David Smith. “We are incredibly grateful for this donation, and can’t wait to see our new senior services van in action.
This is Amazon’s first donation to the community since announcing their North Randall fulfillment center. The senior services transportation program funded by this donation will help local senior citizens get to appointments and meetings around town.
“The senior services transportation program truly espouses the value Amazon and the Village of North Randall place on community,” said Mark Huber, General Manager of Amazon’s North Randall fulfillment center. “Amazon and our partners are proud to fully fund a new van for this important program, and to provide additional funds to support the vital services first responders provide to the community each and every day.”
Amazon opened their North Randall fulfillment center in September, and is expected to employ more than 2,000 people at the facility by the holiday shopping season. Job seekers can apply for open positions at the North Randall location by visiting www.amazon.com/clevelandjobs.
