Business Information

Our history of pro-business government and strategic location has made North Randall the perfect choice for big business. Since 1925 it has been the home of Thistledown Racetrack and the Ohio Derby. In 2013, Rock Ohio Caesars invested over 89 million dollars transforming the racetrack into Thistledown Racino. In 2016 the owner of the Cleveland Cavilers, Dan Gilbert, permanently secured the North Randall gaming location, creating JACK Thistledown Racino. From 1976 to 2009 the village was also home to one of Northeast Ohio’s finest destination shopping locations. The 2 million square foot Randall Park Mall boasted 200 shops and was the world’s largest shopping center upon its opening. Later, that same site hosted the Power Sport Institute making it the largest motorcycle and power sport training campus in the U.S. In 2016, the mall property was purchased by IRG, a major industrial park developer. This former world class shopping location is now being transformed into an Amazon Fulfillment Center, once again bringing thousands of jobs into the Village. In August of 2018, The Village of North Randall will officially welcome AMAZON as its newest tenant on this historical site. With many other local companies choosing North Randall as their home, “we’re on a fast track for business! Join us at the best location in Northeast Ohio” is the message from Mayor David Smith.
